This Skillful Artist Creates Surprising But Realistic Animals Out Of Wool

Here's the amazing needle-felted animal crowd by Anna Yastrezhembovskaya crafts. Anna is a Russian artist with a great passion for felt crafts and animals. Starting from the textile birds and ending up with tiny wooly hedgehogs, all her portfolios are a homage to a lot of creatures in her nearby forests.

“My first toy wasn’t nearly as pretty, it was rather funny. But I enjoyed the process so much that I kept trying. I was felting during my free time, even at night, and I got better with each toy I made,” said Anna. The persistence of this talented artist paid off. By now, she has become successful in selling her felt animals on Etsy as a regular business.

Now, you might be wondering about the most popular woolen character among all the crafts of Yastrezhembovskaya.

The most popular among all was a super-cute toy bat that was designed for her daughter for the first time. This cute bat had inspired the interest of a lot of people. According to Anna, “I am flattered that my bats won the hearts of so many people, but the number of orders I got was terrifying,” The artist is quite overwhelmed as it takes 12-14 hours for her to make one toy. I, personally, think that it's alright for her to get overwhelmed as she does a one-woman show. “Of course, I will keep felting as many bats as I can, but I want people to understand that these toys are fully handmade, so it’s a fairly lengthy process.”

She continued: “Wool is a very gentle and cozy material for me. When I sort the fibers between my fingers when I shape them with a needle – I put my soul into each toy.”
