Let us
look at one of nature's most magnificent creatures, "lions," and not
just any lion, but the oldest lion, "Morani," who lives in Kenya's
Maasai Mara, a national reserve.

Other
majestic lions, cheetahs, and even zebras may be found. Morani was born and
raised alongside four other male lions, and he is the only one who has lived
for 14 years, earning the title of the park's oldest lion after his brother
Scarface.

Leighton
Lum, a professional wildlife photographer from Hawaii, captured Morani on
camera. Morani, who was 14 at the time was the most exciting part of his
picture session.
Morani’s
scares and hunting frightening look amused everyone including Lum. This majestic
lion pictures of Morani was beautifully captured by Leighton Lum.

Lum says
about our Monari here; "Just looking at his face, you can tell he's gone
through a lot. He went from being the stallion leader of youthful pride, a
king, to a retired elderly man still struggling for survival in the Mara."
"Adult
male lions sleep up to 20 hours every day! Around 15 feet from where we left
him at the end of the day, we discovered him."
