James
Balog and his team recently noticed something extraordinary while photographing
a glacier.
This took
place in Greenland where James and his colleagues were collecting pictures from
the camera set around the Arctic Circle for a long time.
They were
selecting pictures for some perfect shots for a documentary and never expected
the things that were unfolding right in front of their eyes.
James
Balog has been a specialized nature photographer for a long time but he didn’t
believe in this climate change that he witnessed.
James was
taunting the scientists about global warming for approximately 20 years.
“I didn’t
think that humans were capable of changing the basic physics and chemistry of
this entire, huge planet. It didn’t seem probable, it didn’t seem possible,”
Balog said.
James
realized the devastating issue in 2005 while having a close-up look at how
climate changes affect nature.
He was
the first hand witness to see the enormous damage that has occurred during an
expedition to the Arctic.
10 years
later, James came up with his film “Chasing Ice” in which he decided to
document the melting of glaciers using a huge number of cameras.
Balog was
a person who filmed one of the most spectacular scenes ever.
Though
spectacular, this is a sign of the ongoing vast destruction. Trust me or not,
Balog and the team have witnessed a piece of glacier that is the same size as
Lower Manhattan fall into the ocean in less than an hour and 15 minutes.
It was
recorded in the Guinness Book of Records since it’s a historic scene that shows
how serious the situation is for Earth’s climate.
We’ve
waved our hands for an unprecedented geological disaster.
Here’s the video of the scene:
November
2016, recorded the highest temperature of the Arctic and it was 20° more than
the average.
One and
only option to stop Earth’s changing climate is to ZERO the global greenhouse emissions by 2070.
We hope
that his video will at least convince our audience of how worse the situation
is.
Please do
share the article as much as possible to make others aware of what the Earthlings
are going through. Help us grab more people who help reverse the devastating
trend. Happy trails until we meet again!
