The story
that we present you today is based on the mini hedgehog, ‘Herbee’ and its best
friend ‘Audree’, a Bengal cat. This story would definitely light up your day.
Audree and Herbee, both are members of the Mr. Pokee family and we got to know
them, by their pictures published on social media by Talitha Girnus, the owner.
These 2 pets are quite popular in social media with more than 1.8 million
followers on Instagram.
Talitha’s
history of posting pictures of animals runs back to 2015. She had started it
with a 8-month old small hedgehog named ‘Pokee’ and it’s the main cause for her
to name her social media accounts after it. Unfortunately, this small hedgehog,
Pokee passed away in 2019. Talitha missed her little Pokee a lot until Herbee,
the new one came into her life. Herbee took up his mantle and brought Talitha’s
smile back on her face. Talitha got a tattoo on her wrist to honor Pokee’s
memory.
One of
the posts by Talitha said, “I started adopting Audree a few months after
adopting Herbee. I was truly passionate about having my own cat who can
accompany me in my adventures. I got to know about Audree, once when I googled
to find a special cat for me. By the way I didn't have an idea about the breed.
Audree had been reserved for adoption, but fortunately canceled at the moment.
It gave me the chance to adopt this bengal kitty cat. Since then, Audree and
Herbee have been best friends and by now they are inseparable! They accompany
each other wherever they go. They play together. Sleep together. Eat together
(sometimes in the same bowl too). Both are interested in each other very much.
But to our surprise, Herbee once gave a small bite to Audree for no reason.
Even at that moment Audree only meowed and left – good that it did not happen
ever again.”
