The Video Of The Huge Effortless Leap Of A Bobcat Over A River Goes Viral

An unbelievable long jump of a wild bobcat that was spotted on Pecan Island in Louisiana, the USA went viral among the internet users. The person who filmed the scene explained:

“We were just out fishing for blue crab in Pecan Island, LA and this huge bobcat came out across the weir. I grabbed my phone thinking he was about to get wet, but he surprised us all.”

This insane jump made by the bobcat made everyone go speechless.

This scene was kind of a gift for all feline fans as bobcats are nocturnal and elusive animals who could rarely be spotted in daylight.

The leap is so impressive and this feline composes himself right before his leap to reach the other side in a single move.

He made it so effortlessly with a lot of grace even making us want to try it at home. But, trust me there will be only 1 gold medalist and you know who he is.

A wildlife biologist and the project coordinator at Urban Caracal Project, Laurel Serieys from the University of Cape Town presented his idea on this leap as follows; “Bobcats are well-known to jump several meters. Not only them but also a lot of smaller felines about their size have the same potential.”

Maybe the bobcat made this decision as it wanted to avoid being wet. It’s a well-known fact that jumping across a bridge is not a big issue for athletic animals like them. Perhaps, this bobcat might have been hunting at the moment.

However, the larger felines have the ability to jump further than this distance with no effort. In some instances, their leaps are around 6m long.

The person spotted this while he was out fishing in Pecan Island.

Almost everyone who saw the recording was impressed!
