Amanda
Oleander is a professional artist from LA. Parenting is a great privilege in
one's life. Amanda, who realized this, was interested in reliving her pregnancy
memories. Thus, illustrated her pregnancy journey using her amazing artistic
skills. She believed that her artwork would definitely lock her in a moment in
time authentically that was never photographed. For her, illustrations are
better as she says that the reality is altered in a photograph as we know that
we are being photographed. It would definitely make us lose our natural way.
This
contemporary artist's talent of drawing was discovered at the age of 5 when she
was waiting in line for a ride at the Disney World. Amanda was then appreciated
by everyone around her, for the drawings that she drew when she was in the
line. Her drawings have contained the Disney characters that she met there.
This is the exact turning point of Amanda's life as an artist. This particular
incident has inspired her parents to gift her with an annual museum pass and
additional art classes which has made Amanda painting and drawing since then.
