Stephen
Crowley; a Dublin-based designer and dad, decided to have some fun with his
family and relatives with the help of his Photoshop skills. He photoshopped his
18-month-old daughter Hannah in very dangerous situations that would give
anyone a heart attack – including driving a car, holding a kitchen knife,
climbing a ladder alone, etc. When Stephen shared them on Reddit,
these images went viral online and it became the 12th most popular Reddit link
of all time with over 152,000 upvotes.
Though
this looks like fun, it’s not just about fun and games. His daughter was
suffering from a rare immune disorder called HLH and hence, he wanted to use
this viral opportunity to raise awareness of HLH. Hannah spent most of her time
in the hospital receiving chemotherapy from the age of 4 to 10 months and a
bone marrow transplant finally saved her life. Only 3 donors out of 27 million
donors worldwide, were considered suitable for Hannah for this transplant.
Stephen
is now using the attention he got, to encourage people to become bone marrow
donors via the National Marrow Donor Program, “Be
the Match”. Check out the images below and guess how dangerous these
activities are for a kid.

Stephen
told to PetaPixel
that most of the reactions were positive, but there was an odd person who did
not get the joke and commented that Stephen should be shot.
