Currently
it’s difficult to tell what’s real and what’s unreal. Most of the images that
we see in social media or magazines have been more or less changed using photo
editing software. These photos have been setting unrealistic beauty standards
in our heads and slowly twisting our understanding of reality itself. But some
people refuse to follow up with this and they want to open people’s eyes to see
the bitter truth.
Diana Sirokai and Callie Thorpe; two beautiful
plus-size models, teamed up with a professional photographer Karizza to
show how the media takes photo editing to a different level. Diana and Callie
had their photos taken and Karizza used Photoshop to make exciting body image
edits.
“I
have to say we look wonderful in both ways”, Diana wrote on her Instagram post.
“The purpose of this was to show you all how magazines and the media take photo
editing to a different level. Models and celebrities do not even look like
themselves in those photoshopped photos. We live in such a fake world and this
is the time to bring reality back. Own who you are and slay!”
